A hearty, flavorful one-pan meal packed with beef, rice, and Cajun-style seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef
    • Heat oil in a large skillet or pot.
    • Add ground beef and cook until browned.
    • Drain excess grease if needed.
  2. Sauté vegetables
    • Add onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic.
    • Cook 4–5 minutes until softened.
  3. Season
    • Stir in paprika, Cajun seasoning, thyme, salt, black pepper, and cayenne.
  4. Add rice
    • Pour in uncooked rice and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Simmer
    • Add beef broth.
    • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
    • Cover and simmer 18–20 minutes until rice is tender.
  6. Finish
    • Fluff rice with a fork.
    • Top with green onions.
