🍔 Burger Buns (Soft & Fluffy)

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened) or oil

For topping:

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add egg, butter, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour and knead until you get a soft, smooth dough (8–10 minutes).
  4. Cover and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Divide into equal balls (burger size) and place on a tray.
  6. Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
  7. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  8. Bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes until golden.

Tips for perfect buns:

  • Dough should be soft, not dry
  • Don’t skip the second rise → makes them fluffy
  • For extra softness, brush with butter right after baking
