- 3 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk (a glass)
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan. - Prepare the apples
Peel and slice the apples thinly. Set aside. - Mix eggs and sugar
In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until light and slightly fluffy. - Add liquids
Mix in milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. - Add dry ingredients
Stir in flour and baking powder until smooth. - Add apples
Fold the sliced apples into the batter and pour everything into the prepared pan. - Bake
Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and set. - Serve
Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
✨ Tip: This cake becomes very soft and custardy inside, which is why it literally melts in your mouth. It’s even better slightly warm!
