- 2–3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- ½ cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

- Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. - Mix wet ingredients
In a large bowl, mash bananas and mix with melted butter. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. - Combine dry ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). - Mix together
Gradually fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture. Stir in nuts or chocolate chips if desired. - Bake
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. - Cool
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
