🍌 Classic Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 2–3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients
    In a large bowl, mash bananas and mix with melted butter. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Combine dry ingredients
    In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  4. Mix together
    Gradually fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture. Stir in nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Bake
    Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Cool
    Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
