🫓🧄 Buttery Garlic Naan (Soft & Fluffy)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp oil or melted butter

Garlic Butter:

  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley or coriander

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, yogurt, and oil. Mix into a soft dough.
  3. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1–1.5 hours (until doubled).
  5. Divide into balls and roll into oval shapes.
  6. Cook on a hot pan (no oil) until bubbles form, then flip.
  7. Press lightly for charred spots like authentic naan.
  8. Brush immediately with garlic butter.

Tips:

  • Cook on very high heat for that classic naan texture
  • Brush butter while hot → better flavor absorption
  • No yeast? You can substitute with baking powder + baking soda (quick version)
