
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp oil or melted butter
Garlic Butter:
- 3 tbsp butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley or coriander
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, yogurt, and oil. Mix into a soft dough.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 1–1.5 hours (until doubled).
- Divide into balls and roll into oval shapes.
- Cook on a hot pan (no oil) until bubbles form, then flip.
- Press lightly for charred spots like authentic naan.
- Brush immediately with garlic butter.
Tips:
- Cook on very high heat for that classic naan texture
- Brush butter while hot → better flavor absorption
- No yeast? You can substitute with baking powder + baking soda (quick version)
