
📝 Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2–3 carrots (diced)
- 2 celery stalks (optional)
- 3–4 cups cabbage (chopped)
- 1 can (400 g) diced tomatoes
- 2–3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 liter beef broth (or water + stock cubes)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 3 garlic cloves)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 cup cooked rice (optional but traditional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
👩🍳 Instructions:
🍲 Stovetop / Slow cooker method:
- In a pan, brown the ground beef with onion. Drain excess fat.
- Add everything into a large pot or slow cooker.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, carrots, celery, cabbage, and spices.
- Cook:
- Slow cooker: 6–8 hours low OR 3–4 hours high
- Stovetop: simmer 45–60 minutes until veggies are soft
- Add cooked rice at the end if using.
- Taste and adjust salt/pepper.

- The flavor gets even better the next day 😍
- Add a splash of vinegar or lemon juice at the end for brightness
- For thicker soup, use more tomato paste or less broth
