🥘 Classic Family Favorite Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked egg noodles or pasta
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the beef
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion until browned. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Drain excess fat.
  3. Prepare the mixture
    In a large bowl combine cooked pasta, beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salt, pepper, paprika, and half of the cheese.
  4. Assemble the casserole
    Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Add cheese topping
    Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake
    Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the casserole is hot and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
