
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup oil (or 1 cup softened butter)
- 1 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180Β°C. Grease and line your cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light.
- Add oil (or butter), milk, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour into pan and bake 30β40 minutes.
- Let cool before slicing or frosting.
Tips for extra softness:
- Donβt overmix the batter
- Use room temperature ingredients
- Add 2 tbsp yogurt for extra moisture
Optional Frosting:
- Mix butter + powdered sugar + vanilla + a little milk for a quick vanilla buttercream
