🍪 Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients
    In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugars
    In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients
    Gradually mix in the flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chunks.
  5. Scoop cookies
    Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake
    Bake for 9–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden but centers are still soft.
  7. Cool
    Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
