
Ingredients
For the Dough
- 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- ½ cup warm milk (110°F / 43°C)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 2¾ cups all-purpose flour
For the Strawberry Filling
- 1 cup finely chopped strawberries
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
For the Cream Cheese Glaze
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the dough
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with 1 tsp sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, salt, egg, and yeast mixture. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour, until doubled in size.
- Prepare the filling
Mix chopped strawberries, sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter in a bowl. - Roll and fill
- Roll dough into a rectangle (~12×18 inches).
- Spread strawberry filling evenly over the dough.
- Shape the rolls
Roll up the dough tightly from the long side. Cut into 12 even slices. Place in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. - Second rise
Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. - Bake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown. - Prepare glaze
Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
