Cheese Flatbread Recipe

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp oil or melted butter

Filling

  • 1 to 1½ cups mozzarella cheese (or any melting cheese)

For brushing

  • Melted butter

Instructions

  1. Make the dough
    • Mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
    • Add warm milk, yogurt, and oil.
    • Knead into a soft dough.
    • Cover and rest for 20–30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the flatbreads
    • Divide dough into small balls.
    • Roll one ball into a small circle.
    • Add cheese in the center.
    • Fold edges together and seal.
    • Gently roll again into a thick flatbread.
  3. Cook
    • Heat a skillet or pan over medium heat.
    • Cook each bread 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown spots appear.
    • Brush with melted butter while hot.
  4. Serve
    • Best served warm while the cheese is melty.
