
🧾 Ingredients
For the steaks:
- 500 g ground beef
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
For the gravy:
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 200 g mushrooms, sliced (optional but highly recommended)
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Make the patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Form into oval-shaped patties (like mini steaks). - Brown the steaks
Heat a pan over medium heat with a little oil.
Cook patties for about 4–5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside. - Cook the mushrooms
In the same pan, sauté mushrooms in butter until golden. - Make the gravy
Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir for 1 minute.
Slowly add beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
Add Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, salt, and pepper. - Simmer everything
Return patties to the pan, spoon gravy over them, cover, and simmer on low for 15–20 minutes until cooked through and tender.
