- 1 cup pineapple juice (or blended fresh pineapple)
- Β½ cup crushed pineapple
- ΒΌ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or white vinegar)
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)

- Combine base ingredients
In a saucepan, add pineapple juice, crushed pineapple, sugar, vinegar, chili sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. - Simmer
Cook over medium heat for 5β7 minutes, stirring occasionally. - Thicken
Add cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens (1β2 minutes). - Taste & adjust
- More sugar = sweeter
- More vinegar = tangier
- More chili sauce = spicier πΆοΈ
- Cool & serve
Sauce will thicken more as it cools.
