For the loaf:
- 1 ยฝ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ยฝ tsp baking soda
- ยฝ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ยฝ cup (115g) butter (softened)
- ยพ cup (150g) sugar
- 2 eggs
- ยฝ cup (120ml) milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ยฝ cups diced apples (peeled)
For cinnamon swirl:
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
๐ฉโ๐ณ Instructions:
1. Prep
- Preheat oven to 175ยฐC (350ยฐF).
- Grease and line a loaf pan.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
3. Cream Butter & Sugar
- Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
4. Combine
- Add dry ingredients in parts, alternating with milk.
- Fold in diced apples gently.
5. Add Cinnamon Swirl
- Pour half the batter into the pan.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar.
- Add remaining batter and lightly swirl with a knife.
6. Bake
- Bake for 45โ55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Cool
- Let cool before slicing for clean, beautiful pieces.
๐ฏ Optional Glaze:
- Mix ยฝ cup powdered sugar + 1โ2 tbsp milk + dash of vanilla
- Drizzle over cooled loaf
