🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (225g) butter (softened)
  • 1 cup (200g) sugar
  • 4 eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Cream Butter & Sugar

  • Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F).
  • Grease and line a cake pan.
  • Beat butter and sugar until light, pale, and fluffy (about 3–5 minutes).

2. Add Eggs

  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  • This helps keep the batter smooth and airy.

3. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

4. Combine

  • Add dry ingredients to the batter in parts, alternating with milk.
  • Stir gently—don’t overmix.
  • Add vanilla extract.

5. Bake

  • Pour into the pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 40–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6. Cool

  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
