
🛒 Ingredients
Meatloaf:
- 500g ground beef
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Glaze:
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp mustard
Mashed Potatoes:
- 4 large potatoes (peeled & chopped)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt to taste
Gravy:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- Salt & pepper to taste
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Make the Meatloaf:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, mustard, and spices.
- Shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
- Mix glaze ingredients and spread on top.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes until cooked through.
2. Prepare Mashed Potatoes:
- Boil potatoes in salted water until soft (15–20 min).
- Drain, add butter and milk.
- Mash until smooth and creamy.
3. Make Gravy:
- Melt butter in a pan.
- Add flour and cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Slowly whisk in beef broth.
- Cook until thickened, then season.
