🛒 Ingredients

Meatloaf:

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Glaze:

  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard

Mashed Potatoes:

  • 4 large potatoes (peeled & chopped)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt to taste

Gravy:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt & pepper to taste

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make the Meatloaf:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, mustard, and spices.
  3. Shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  4. Mix glaze ingredients and spread on top.
  5. Bake for 45–55 minutes until cooked through.

2. Prepare Mashed Potatoes:

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until soft (15–20 min).
  2. Drain, add butter and milk.
  3. Mash until smooth and creamy.

3. Make Gravy:

  1. Melt butter in a pan.
  2. Add flour and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Slowly whisk in beef broth.
  4. Cook until thickened, then season.
