📝 Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes (peeled & sliced or diced)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil (or butter for more flavor)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the Potatoes:

  • Slice thin (for crispier texture) or dice (for soft inside + crispy outside).
  • Optional: Soak in cold water 10–15 min, then dry well (removes starch → crispier potatoes).

2. Cook the Potatoes:

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add potatoes in a single layer.
  • Cook without stirring for 4–5 minutes to get a golden crust.
  • Flip and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for about 10–15 minutes.

3. Add Onions:

  • Add sliced onions once potatoes are almost tender.
  • Cook together 5–7 minutes until onions are soft and slightly caramelized.

4. Season:

  • Add salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Stir well and cook 2 more minutes.

🍽️ Serve

  • Garnish with parsley if you like.
  • Serve hot with eggs 🍳, meat 🍗, or as a side dish.
