Crispy Fried Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the chicken pieces.
  2. In a bowl mix chicken with buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Marinate 30 minutes.
  3. Place flour in a separate bowl.
  4. Coat each chicken piece in flour, pressing well for a thick crust.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F / 175°C.
  6. Fry chicken 12–15 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot and crispy.
