
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1½ cups buttermilk
- Chicken pieces
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl mix flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne.
- Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk.
- Coat the chicken well in the flour mixture.
- Let coated chicken rest 10 minutes.
- Heat oil to 175°C / 350°F.
- Fry chicken 12–15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
