
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F / 175°C.
- Mix peaches with ½ cup sugar and lemon juice; set aside.
- In a bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, and ¾ cup sugar.
- Stir in milk to make a smooth batter.
- Pour melted butter into a baking dish.
- Add batter over the butter (do not stir).
- Spoon peaches and juice over the batter.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
