📝 Ingredients
For the Potato Pancakes:
- 3 large potatoes, peeled and grated
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
- Oil for frying
For the Beef Filling:
- 250 g ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For Assembly:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Potato Mixture
In a bowl, combine grated potatoes, grated onion, egg, flour, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix well until everything is combined.
2️⃣ Cook the Beef
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and cook until soft.
Add ground beef, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cook until the beef is browned. Set aside.
3️⃣ Cook the Pancakes
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Spoon some potato mixture into the pan and flatten slightly to form a pancake.
Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
4️⃣ Add the Filling
Place a spoonful of cooked beef and some shredded cheese on one pancake.
Top with another pancake or fold it over.
5️⃣ Melt the Cheese
Cook for another 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts.
