
🛒 Ingredients:
- 2 cups dried beef (sliced or chopped)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2–2½ cups milk
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt (only if needed – beef is salty!)
- Pinch of paprika (optional)
👨🍳 Instructions:
1. Prepare the Beef:
- If the dried beef is very salty, rinse it briefly and pat dry.
- Chop into bite-sized pieces.
2. Make the Roux:
- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add flour and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly.
3. Add Milk:
- Slowly pour in milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
- Cook until the sauce becomes thick and creamy.
4. Add Beef:
- Stir in the chopped dried beef.
- Let it simmer for 5–7 minutes.
5. Season:
- Add black pepper and paprika.
- Taste before adding salt.
