🛒 Ingredients:

For the Sausage Gravy:

  • 400–500g ground breakfast sausage
  • 3 tbsp butter (if needed)
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2–3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (or more)
  • Salt (to taste)

For the Biscuits:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter (cubed)
  • 3/4 cup milk or buttermilk

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Make the Biscuits:

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  4. Add milk and mix gently into dough.
  5. Roll out, cut into rounds, and place on baking tray.
  6. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.

2. Make the Sausage Gravy:

  1. Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  2. Leave the grease in the pan (adds flavor).
  3. Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly.
  5. Cook until thick and creamy.
  6. Season with black pepper and salt.
